Our Mission

GradWell is dedicated to building a culture of well-being to foster success in graduate students’ academics and beyond. We strive to enhance graduate student holistic growth, productivity, connectedness, innovation, and retention. Together, our goal is to proactively promote wellness, address mental health concerns specific to graduate students, provide resources, and create programming so our students can be well to do well.

How we support our graduate students

At the office of GradWell, we support graduate students by providing them easy access to campus resources, promoting wellness education and programming, encouraging them to take care of their mental health, and celebrating the achievements of our students.

Institutional Framework and Support

Graduate student mental health and well-being has long been a focus at Boise State University. Promoting the critical role wellness plays in student success, the Council of Graduate Schools released the Statement of Principles and Commitments on Graduate Student Mental Health and Wellbeing. This framework for institutional action addresses campus-wide, collaborative approaches to protecting the wellbeing of master’s and doctoral students. The document helps to further identify the value of targeting graduate student wellness and the importance of striving for a university culture that embraces graduate student mental health and provides essential resources for the graduate community.
